What is there to even say about Kyuss and the impact that they have made on not only the stoner rock scene, but the punk rock scene in general. I’ve been revisiting ‘Welcome To Sky Valley’ over and over again and I just can not get enough of this album. ‘Welcome To Sky Valley’ is pleasing to both those that have come a long way in the genre or are just getting themselves familiar. The guitar tones are just heavy enough, but not Electric Wizard ringing in my ears until I go deaf and numb. The music is melodic, experimental, and well thought out unlike some other bands of the genre.
If you haven’t already dug yourself a Kyuss hole I recommend you start with ‘Welcome To Sky Valley’. The perfect soundtrack for a long drive in the rain. Turn it way up and enjoy.

Kyuss ruled the stoner rock lands thoughout the 90′s. Blues For The Red Sun is a classic.
