Avail is one of the more underrated punk rock bands that came out of the late 80′s, early 90′s. That’s not to say they had a very strong, loyal following, they just weren’t in the mainstream at all.
Avail is comprised of vocalist Tim Barry, guitarist Joe Banks, bassist Gwomper, drummer Erik Larson, and roadie/manager Beau Beau.
Their 1994 album, Satiate is one of my favorites. I’ve found that in this album, they mix up their songs a bit more by playing mainly punk rock but with more classic rock influenced interludes and such.
